Who would forget when Jax was the Champion who put the NINJA in Ninja Tabi? He could potentially dodge 2/3 of your Attacks PASSIVELY while Stunning everyone around him every few seconds, gets 2 Bonus Health for 1 Ability Power/ 3 Bonus Health for 1 Attack Damage and reach 2.5 Attack Speed per Second without the need of stacking Attack Speed items. The Old Jax could Dodge Turrets, have over 5000 Health and still Deals a Ton of MIXED Damage (Not even Thornmail could counter this Monster!)
What about the Kings of Backdooring? Twisted Fate and Pantheon could fly anywhere on the map! Those where the days when you can break a tower at middle lane, use Ultimate to fly to bottom lane and use Teleport to top lane. Literally one man carrying the entire team! They could even fly into the opponent's Nexus Obelisk or 'Fountain' as ex-Dota players called it, from their own!
Fear not, I have not forgotten Fiddlesticks who used to make anyone FEAR HIM with his 100% Life Steal Drain, 11 Silencing Crows and worst of all, these Crows used to SILENCE FOR 2 SECONDS, making him capable of rendering the entire enemy team 'speechless' for the whole duration of his Crow Storm!
Also the good old days with Force of Nature, Giving takes the ability to move faster and counters magic damage with it's awesome 76 Magic Resist, 40 Health Regeneration and 8% Bonus Movement Speed. Nowadays not a single item gives more than 50 Magic Resistant (Spirit Visage) and the other option, Runic Bulwark, is 3200g. Compared to Force of Nature, Runic Bulwark is a joke as it provide no sustain, a high price and a wasted aura (Supports generally will always get this as their 1st item so the aura is pretty much wasted) Tanks also lost their only Movement Speed item =(
Next we have Hextech Revolver, this item use to grant 20% Spell Vamp for a measly 1200g and the best part? It STACKS! Those were the days when you would see Vladimir stacking 3-5 of these and have Unlimited Sustain in lane while having decent Health and Damage. Imagine every Q Vladimir does heals him for over 400+ Health while his Tides of Blood heals him 300+ Health. Where is your God now?
There used to be a Spell which makes towers Invulnerable for 7 Seconds and everyone of the Summoners could take it. Basically one team could potentially Defend up to 5 Creep waves or make towers Invulnerable for a total of 35 Seconds!
Also Clairvoyance used to be able to Reveal invisible units for 30 Seconds every 2 minutes.
